The Command Sergeant Major
D.R. ("Bob") Hamilton
14th Field Artillery
Regimental Room

The Regimental Room for the 14th Field Artillery Regiment: Official Ceremony and Dedication, 22 April 2005. MG Valcourt, Commanding General, Ft Sill, and BG Formica, Commanding General III Corps Artillery, were present at the ceremony. The Regimental Room contains the battalion colors and battery guidons from all six battalions of the 14th Field Artillery, as well as photographs and memorabilia.

Soldiers from C Battery, 1st Battalion and Veterans from the 6th Battalion participated in the ceremony. The ceremony conducted by the 1st Bn, 14th Field Artillery (Steel Warriors) Soldiers was outstanding. Their professionalism and pride is admirable.

On 4 September 2006 the Regimental Room was redesignated as the

Command Sergeant Major D.R. ("Bob") Hamilton
14th Field Artillery Regimental Room

as a tribute to CSM Hamilton's dedicated service to the Regiment.

In 2010, the Hamilton Regimental Room was moved to the new location of the 1st Battalion 14th Field Artillery headquarters at Fort Sill.

Is the regimental Room just a room containg symbols of the past? Or is it a bridge that links veterans and the present day soldier. When the Regimental Room was offically dedicated it allowed veterans and the current Soldiers of the Fourteenth to join hands and greet each other, Soldier greeting Soldier.

The Regimental Room ceremony brought veterans and active duty together for a brief period of time, but the memories of this meeting will endure forever. The mutual admiration was visible and shall be long lasting.

Soldier to Soldier--the support is appreciated.

We are always looking for 14th Field Artillery Memorabilia to place in the Regimental Room. If you have memorabilia that you would like to have on permanent display, please forward to us & we will make it happen.
